Alona grew up rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife (squirrels, racoons, possums, birds) with her mother at home. While in High School she worked as a Veterinarian Technician. Art has always been a passion as well, working with drawing, pottery/sculpting and cake decorating throughout her life. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then later a Master’s degree in Counter Terrorism and Homeland Security from the IDC while living in Israel. Her professional life ranges from 20+ years, predominantly in ER Nursing as well as International Flight Nurse- Medevac, US Embassy Nurse and now (the best job ever!) School Nursing in an Elementary school in Cedar Park Texas. She has had multiple medical volunteering opportunities including Tsunami Relief in Southeast Asia, the Earthquake in Haiti and Operation Smile in multiple countries. She has held USPA Skydiving and PADI Scuba Diving licenses in the past and loves to travel, covering over 80 countries with adventures including (but not limited to) Everest Base Camp, bush camped with Lions and Hyenas while hitchhiking through Africa, climbed Machu Picchu, and raced horses through the desert past the Egyptian pyramids. Among all her adventures, her favorite and most amazing yet would be raising her 3 beautiful children along side many furry creatures. As a family, they enjoy taking care of animals, making art creations, traveling, hiking, camping and all nature has to offer.
